Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote a strong safety culture through daily field presence and employee engagement.
- Observe work activities and coach employees on safe work practices.
- Identify hazards and support immediate corrective actions.
- Conduct site safety inspections and document findings.
- Assist with safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
- Maintain project safety records and compliance documentation.
- Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project leadership to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Recognize and reinforce positive safety behaviors across the project team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of construction and safety experience.
- Ability to interpret and apply OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related business software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
- Experience in concrete construction environments.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Experience conducting safety training, orientations, or certifications.
- First Aid/CPR certification and injury case management experience.
